Ever since Lady Gaga entered the limelight, she has always stood out with her outlandish clothing choices, and unique hair styles.
I personally LOATHE being copied. I don’t believe that “imitation is the highest form of flattery.” I believe that it is pathetic.
I wonder what Lady Gaga thinks when she sees these people. Perhaps, she doesn’t care. I think that Nicki can pull it off, but Katy Perry is clearly trying way too hard.
I’m not saying that people are directly copying Lady Gaga, but she has had and will always have a huge influence on the risks that people are willing to take with their appearances. Her male character at this year’s VMAs is a prime example of this.
Katy Perry is just such a….
ugh im not trying to hate, but i’m sick of how some people make lady gaga into some type of god. before gaga there was bjork and madonna and gwen stefani. i’m not saying gaga isn’t talented, i give credit where credit’s due but she isn’t the best or better than anyone else. i love what gaga stands for and how supportive she is of the gay community but i personally prefer katy’s music. katy perry’s album was released before gaga’s The Fame album, and they both came onto the mainstream pop scene at around the same time, spring-summer of 2008. It’s not fair to stay that gaga started and created this style, and she definitely isn’t the first. while i understand why she is so popular, i find myself cringing at times when i feel she tries too hard and goes way over the top. it’s not necessarily a good thing and while i would ask her to tone it down a bit, her monsters wouldn’t care because it’s who she is and it’s her art so i’ve no right to criticize it but i have a right to my own opinion and i’m just not a fan. however, she is by no means better than katy or nicki minaj. their music styles are different, and so are their personal styles. i don’t appreciate fingers pointing at other talented artists for copying gaga. they might have been inspired by her, im sure she was definitely inspired by many others, but obviously they do not need to copy her because they would be successful anyway. that’s just my humble opinion.

date night
Island’s Burgers for non-burgers.

we went to the lake to walk it off. it was a lovely night and the slight breeze is really reminiscent of summer.

haha I’m glad I got cut off! No makeup tonight so I wasn’t feeling as glorious.
