i think you should take it as a compliment. they ask because they admire your work, I know i do and some people really are clueless when it comes to photoshop. i think it sounds a little snobbish to tell them to find out on their own or to develop their own style, not that you are snobby because you probably get asked a hundred times a day but i think that when it comes to art it’s something we should all share with each other.
i do agree that it is lame of them to get angry and you aren’t obligated to help them but wouldn’t it be better if you did? i know you said you don’t want to tell them because it wouldn’t be original work but we all download ps actions from someone right? i just think sometimes people have to start somewhere, and if they seek you for help you should be flattered. when i ask for tutorials, it’s not to gain more followers but it’s for myself because i’d want to look at my own photos and admire them as well.
